_Bismillāh_
*Day 13:*
1. *Learn Sūrah Ikhlās*:
A person once came up to Rasūlullāh ﷺ and said, “I love this Sūrah [Ikhlās] immensely.” Nabī ﷺ replied, “Your love for it will cause you to enter Paradise.” [_Musnad Ahmed_]
2. *Sunnah du’ā for today*:
A comprehensive supplication:
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الْهُدَى وَالتُّقَى وَالْعَفَافَ وَالْغِنَى O’ Allah, indeed, I ask You for
guidance, piety, chastity, and sufficiency. [_Muslim Sharīf_]
3. *Sunnah ‘amal of the day:*
Nabī ﷺ has said, “When you go to bed, perform ablution like the ablution for prayer, and then lie on your right side…” [_Bukhārī Sharīf_]
4. Pray *salātul awwābīn* today.
The six rakāhs after Maghrib salāh is called Salāt ul-Awwābīn. Nabī ﷺ has said, “Whoever prays six rakāhs after Maghrib, and he does not speak bad between them, then they will be counted for him as twelve years of worship.”
They should be prayed in sets of two after the Maghrib salāh after praying the 2 sunnah rakāts of Maghrib. However, it is also valid to include the 2 sunnah rakāhs of Maghrib as part of the 6. Thus, praying the 2 sunnah and 2 nafl rakāts of Maghrib, with an additional 2 rakāt nafl will merit one to be included amongst those who read salāt ul-awwabīn.
5. *Make du’ā for your family and friends today*:
Nabī ﷺ is reported to have said, “Whenever a Muslim supplicates for his (Muslim) brother in his absence, the angels say: May the same be for you too.” [_Muslim Sharīf_]
6. *Muhāsabah*
Do we criticise food that we do not like? Hadrat Abū Hurayra ra narrates that Rasūlullāh ﷺ never expressed disapproval of food; if he liked it, he ate it, and if he disliked it, he left it alone. [_Muslim Sharīf_]
7. *Bonus*:
Ask Allāh swt for paradise and seek His protection from Hell three times.
Nabī ﷺ has said, “Whoever asks for Paradise, three times, Paradise will say: O’ Allāh, admit him to Paradise. And whoever asked to be saved from Hell, three times, Hell will say: O’ Allāh, save him from Hell.” [_Tirmidhī Sharīf_]
