1. *Learn Surah Mā’ūn*
This sūrah contains a beautiful & comprehensive reminder regarding the importance of huqūqUllāh (salāh) and huqūqul ‘ibād (taking care of the orphans and the poor).
2. *Sunnah du’ā for today*:
Du’ā to be recited when glancing into a mirror:
اَللّٰهُمَّ اَنْتَ حَسَّنْتَ خَلْقِىْ فَحَسِّنْ خُلُقِىْ
O’ Allāh swt, You have made my countenance beautiful, so beautify my manners as well [Hisn Hasīn]
3. *Sunnah ‘amal of the day*:
Apply kohl (surma) to your eyes. It has been narrated that Nabī ﷺ had a kohl holder with which he would apply kohl before sleeping in each eye three times. Nabī ﷺ has also mentioned that one of the best types of kohl you use is ‘_ithmid_ (antimony)’; it brightens the vision and increases the growth of the eyelashes (_Nasai Sharīf_)
4. Pray *2 rak’āt nafl salāh* anytime today, and make du’ā to Allāh swt thereafter for the Muslims suffering in the world.
5. *Help with household work*
Hadrat ‘Ā’isha ra was once asked what Nabī ﷺ used to do at home, and she replied that ‘he used to keep himself busy serving his family, and when he heard the adhān, he would go out.’ (_Bukhārī Sharīf_)
How often do we forget Allāh swt? Allāh swt has said in Qur’ān, ‘…and do not be from amongst those who are neglectful’ [7:206]. Hadrat ‘Ā’isha ra narrates that Nabī ﷺ used to remember Allāh swt at all times (_Muslim Sharīf_)
Recite _lā hawla wa lā quwwata illā billāh_ – Nabī ﷺ referred to this statement as one of the ‘treasures of paradise’ (_ibn Māja Sharīf_)
